Greater London Demolition give as good as they get!

We are of course talking charity! Over the past few months the generous team at GLD have been sponsoring various people completing some amazing events all in a bid to raise money for their chosen charity.

Here is a breakdown of the people they have sponsored and the amount raised for these good causes:

Siobhan Carey
MacMillan Cancer Support
£500
Siobhan Carey successfully completed the Macmillan Ride of Their Lives Horserace at York Racecourse. In total, she has raised over £21,000 for this fantastic cause. Well done Siobhan!

Taylor Wimpey Staff
Youth Adventure Trust
£250
A group of 12 brave staff from Taylor Wimpey Central London will be joined the annual Taylor Wimpey Challenge to raise awareness and money for Youth Adventure Trust. The event that took place in May, challenged them to compete in a series of Scottish Highland Games followed by an ascent to the famous peak of Ben Nevis.

TWCL Land & Planning Team
AHOY
£200
The TWCL Land & Planning team raced from Westminster to Greenwich in a small boat with oars against other property firms during May. They aimed to raise funds for AHOY which strives to improve the lives of disadvantaged/disabled London kids.

Taylor Wimpey Central London
Centre Point
£250
10 employees from Taylor Wimpey Central London will be cycling from London to Paris over a 3 day period to help raise money for Centre Point, a charity that helps provide a future for young people that are homeless. The race is well underway and we wish them all the best of luck!

That’s not all, GLD have made lots more donations including:

£50 – Action for A-T – Funding vital medical research to find a cure or a treatment that will delay the disabling effects of A-T.

£200 – Prostate Cancer – A man dies every six minutes somewhere in the world as a direct result of prostate cancer. Every penny raised takes them a step closer to their vision “To fund research that leads towards a cure for prostate cancer”.

£250 – Cancer Research UK – Donations help fund the life-saving research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

£200 – VICTA – the support enables VICTA to provide equipment and services to children and young people who are blind or partially sighted across the UK.

£200 – CRASH – The London Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge who raised nearly £29,000 for CRASH.
